![I’m back in California, after living in the Middle East for the last month and a half.
[I shot this photograph right before my flight from London landed in San Francisco. I always love watching the shadow of the plane and clouds while I am in the air. Flying is amazing.]
San Francisco > Chicago > Amman, Jordan > Beirut, Lebanon (1+month) > Dubai, UAE (4 days) > London, England (16 hours) > San Francisco, California
I didn’t end up going to Baghdad, Cairo, or Nigeria. But, it’s all for the best…and for my own safety and sanity. I’m going through a minor culture shock, being back in the United States. I’m extremely happy to be back home, but also feel really sad not being in the Middle East anymore. I will miss the people that I have been seeing everyday and the numerous people I’ve built relationships with. I’m slowly adjusting to things and the work I need to finish up here. I’ll probably lay low in northern CA for a bit until going to Austin, TX the end of November - December.
I will be going through photos and posting about my trip as I happen across the photos. Sorry I didn’t keep up with my blog as much as I wanted to while I was away, such is the nature of work.
