Today I shot a man getting impregnated by a crazy virus slug that dropped from a slimy placenta sack…on 35mm film.
This is my life.
(via karenabadmfa: 17-hour day today. Most of which, for me, was spent riding on a dolly behind this beast.)
No matter how exhausted I am, I love my life. I love what I do. I love the people I work with (for the most part). Yes, that is a 35mm camera rigged next to a Canon 5DmkII with gobo heads/arms.
My friend, Philip Bloom, has been in San Francisco all week and I’m really glad I got to hang out with him for a couple days while he was here. He’s pretty freaking talented and also really sweet. I like when Vimeo brings people together IRL.
Met up with Philip Bloom in the woods. The sunny rays peeked out to say hello! Made me think of Sebby.

There’s always that part of the song, about halfway through and on, where the music crescendos and you close your eyes and you can imagine yourself running through the woods or sitting on the edge of a cliff, with your legs dangling over the edge. The part where no one else exists except for you and that part of the song that is all to familiar, even the first time around. You take a deep breath and all the stresses of the world melt away. There are no heartbreaks, no lies, no fall-outs, no conflict.
The part that you feel the author wrote especially for you, and only you.
Those last 2 minutes belong to you.
