Leaf Yellow [Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

I’ll never remember that crisp autumn day in 1995 when I first heard Sunny Day Real Estate. I was 10 years old, in Saudi Arabia, sitting on the beige shag carpet of a British boy (whose name I can’t remember) from school with long brown blonde hair, wearing a black, faded, Metallica shirt. He told me that he wanted to share something “new” with me. I didn’t think much of it and thought he was just a weird kid from school.

When The Rising Tide came out in 2000 and I heard this song, I felt like I was 10 years old again sitting in this kid’s bedroom. I realized at that moment, that he had been onto something 5 years prior.

Mom thinks Adapter > Pizza

  • Mom: Yeah, but can you use the Nikon lenses on the Canon camera?
  • Me: Yes I can, because I got an adapter for them.
  • Mom: Yeah, but how much did you end up spending on that adapter?
  • Me: $14
  • Mom: Hmm..
  • Me: Yeah?
  • Mom: That's less than a pizza.
  • Me: What are you talking about? How does that even compare?
  • Mom: Well, you know with the pizza you eat it and enjoy it for a little bit, but I guess this adapter will last longer than the pizza.
  • Me: What are you talking about?
  • Mom: That was my comparison with the pizza.
  • ????? hahaha

Love Letter Typewriter

Summer unfolded, like a tapestry and you were there - as you have always been there - glowing where the sky meets with the trees and softly crowing, singing fears to sleep.

“Will you ever know how much I love you for that?”

I was the camera operator for Kevin’s 35mm MFA thesis. This thing was BIG deal and I’ve been worried at how the footage would turn out…just because you never know with film.

I received this message today. Such an incredible relief for this year.

Karen’s eyes win again.

I can breathe again…until I shoot one of MY thesis next Friday.

Leaf Yellow Texture.

Leaf Yellow Even though I’ve been gone from Vimeo in New York since September, I will miss Casey and Jack a lot…Never forget. I’ll miss Jack a lot because I just started getting to know him better. I’ll miss Casey’s facial hair.
